In a poll released yesterday, Gallup asked Americans: “What do you think is the most important problem facing this country today?” Not surprisingly, the most common answers focused on pocket-book issues. Thirty-one percent said they believed the economy in general was the most important problem facing the country, and 22 percent said it was unemployment and jobs.

More than 60 percent of voters also said they would probably not support their current representative. Just 26 percent said they would.
